Sales Engineer
As part of this rapid growth, the company is looking for a Sales Engineer in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Responsibilities:
- Identify customers' needs in automation solutions
- Pro-actively sell Parallels solution from technical side to prospects making them come to Parallels sales for commercial discussion
- Upsell existing customers, guiding through their Cloud business technical development
- Conduct meetings, demo's, workshops and any other reasonable bespoke activities with customers and prospects; make it in appealing way
- Tender activities participations (prepare tender documentation, prepare solution architecture, etc)
- Understand business basics of Cloud business, use it in guiding customers and prospects
- Keep up to date tech knowledge of Parallels solution and its roadmap
- Keep up to date knowledge of positioning Parallels solution versus competition
- Pro-actively communicate with Sales Engineering w/w team, gain best sales practices and learn others' mistakes
- Foreseeing problems in a sales cycle, and escalate properly to account manager and tech peers inside Parallels
- Prepare hardware requirements and scale them for customer’s projects
Requirements:
- Technical education degree;
- Strong experience in Customer Support / Deployment / Development / Engineering
- Nice to have – Sales Engineering experience in IT
- Good knowledge of Windows OS’s, Linux OS’s
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Web servers, Mail servers, Active Directory, XML technology
- Understanding of Cloud landscape and trends
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Excellent presentation skills
- State and achieve ambitious goals
- Multi-tasking, prioritization, self-management
- Desire to take part in business that is to change African IT landscape; entrepreneur spirit
