Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac users who purchased their copy of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac from an authorized reseller August 1, 2011 – October 31, 2011 were eligible to upgrade to Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac at no additional cost. Qualifying customers could claim an activation key for Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac until November 15, 2011.

The following Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac products qualify for the Tech Guarantee:

• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Full Version
• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Upgrade
• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac OEM Version
• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac Student License
• Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition
• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac - SD card

If you purchased directly from Parallels at www.parallels.com

Customers who bought Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac or Parallels Desktop Switch to Mac Edition via the Parallels website starting August 1, 2011 automatically received an email from Parallels with their unique upgrade key within 7 business days of the release of the new product.

For customers who purchased Upgrade Protection

Customers who purchased Upgrade Protection along with an upgrade to Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac directly from Parallels automatically received an email from Parallels with their unique upgrade key within 7 business days of the release of the new product.

Purchased in Retail or with a Reseller in the US and Canada

Customers who bought a retail box or download version of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac or Parallels Desktop 6 Switch to Mac Edition from an authorized reseller between August 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011 needed to claim their upgrade directly with Parallels.

Purchased in Retail or with a Reseller in Australia and EMEA

Customers who bought a retail box or download version of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac or Parallels Desktop 6 Switch to Mac Edition from an authorized reseller between August 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011 needed to claim their upgrade directly with Parallels.

Eligibility

The following Parallels Desktop for Mac products did not qualify for the Tech Guarantee:

• Trial versions of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac
• Volume licensing
• Not-for-resale (NFR) versions
• Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac versions purchased before August 1, 2011
• Older Versions of Parallels Desktop for Mac (Version 2/3/4/5) purchased August 1, 2011 onwards
