Parallels RAS Wins Govies Award for the Third Consecutive Year

govies awardFor the third consecutive year, Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) has been recognized with an Outstanding Government Security Products Govies award.

Security Today, the only integrated product and technology magazine reaching the entire security market, announced the 2017 winners of the Govies Government Security Awards, which recognize products in several categories including network security, encryption, big data analytics, and cloud computing.

Parallels RAS won the Govies Government Security Award 2017 in the Cloud Computing category. This platinum award recognizes Parallels RAS as a top-end government security solution. Participation in the Govies program has been especially strong this year as government security has been a growing concern.

Last year, Parallels RAS won the award in the category of Network Security, whereas in 2015 it was awarded in the category of Best Secure Hosted Solution.

Parallels RAS is a virtual cloud computing solution that helps businesses centralize and manage their assets on a shared location while offering advanced user access filtering options and SSL encryption to increase application, desktop, and data security.

As security continues to grow in importance for the IT world, solution providers need to adapt and improve their offerings to address new challenges. Parallels is excited to offer a solution that meets these challenges and is very proud to win a Govies Award for the third year in a row.

“The Govies is an amazing product recognition program whereby companies in the security industry can highlight their technology and solutions that work flawlessly within the government vertical,” said Ralph C. Jensen, editor in chief of Security Today magazine and securitytoday.com. “We received 28% more entries this year, which also corresponds with the need to provide better security options not only at the federal level but also at the state and municipal level of government. I believe these products and solutions only prove that the government relies heavily on the technology advances in the private sector.”

In addition to being honored at the ISC West trade event, the winners will be featured on securitytoday.com and highlighted in a future issue of Security Today magazine. The magazine is distributed to more than 65,000* subscribers monthly as well as at numerous trade events. Read more.
