If an email account type has been set to POP, emails are retained on the device. If set to IMAP emails shall not be stored on the device, however downloaded attachments which may contain sensitive corporate data are.

To remove email accounts created from Parallels MDM including all related emails and downloaded attachments, follow the next steps:

Delete Email Account 7.1

  1. Go to the ‘Devices’ node.
  2. Select a device.
  3. Click ‘Email’ tab.
  4. Select the email account.
  5. Click ‘Delete’.

A delete confirmation dialogue box shall pop up. Click ‘Delete’ to confirm deletion of the account. The account shall now be deleted including all related data.

Using Remote Control to verify data removal

Further checks may be performed using the remote control tab to confirm the successful removal of corporate data or even other related content stored on the device as per the below steps:

Delete Email Attachments

  1. Go to the ‘Remote Control’ node.
  2. Select a device.
  3. From the ‘Remote Control’ interface, click ‘File Manager’.
  4. Scroll down the directory list and click ‘sdcard’.
  5. From the right hand page, locate and double click ‘Downloads’.
  6. Select the data you would like to delete and click ‘Delete’.

A delete confirmation dialogue box shall pop up. Click ‘Delete’ to confirm deletion of the selected files.
