Chapter 12. Domain Administration

The Domain administration page displays the domain status and provides access to various domain management functions. To access this page, select the client, whose domain you want to administer, then select the domain name from the list of client's domains.

The domain properties are represented by the following icons:

IconMeaning
The state icon indicates the system state of the domain:
[OK]
means that the domain is operating within defined disk space and traffic parameters
[ ! ]
means that the allocated disk space or traffic limitations are exceeded at this particular domain. The Plesk system evaluates disk space and traffic every 24 hours
The status icon indicates if the domain was activated/deactivated by the client or system administrator.
[ON]
means that the domain is activated
[ X ]
means that this domain is presently deactivated and inaccessible
The hosting type icon indicates the type of hosting set-up for the domain:
Physical Hosting
indicates Physical Hosting
Standard Forwarding
indicates Standard Forwarding
Frame Forwarding
indicates Frame Forwarding
No hosting configured
indicates that no hosting was configured for the domain

At the Domain administration page you can activate/deactivate the domain, view the domain report, set the domain level limits, edit the domain preferences and change the domain name, allow domain user access, register a domain, access additional domain administration tools and backup/restore facilities, manage e-mail accounts, mailing lists, DNS settings and databases, Tomcat web applications and domain SSL certificate repository.

The Domain administration page also provides the facilities for hosting setup and management and operations on subdomains.
