Plesk 7.0.x for Windows hotfix 04100912

This article contains information about bugs fixed in Plesk™ 7.0.2 for Windows® hotfix 04100912. This hotfix can only be installed on top of Plesk versions 7.0.0, 7.0.1 or 7.0.2. The hotfix is not applicable to any other version.

The hotfix solves the following problems:

  • MailEnable DNS Lookup issue
    MailEnable reported about vulnerability found in Standard and Professianal editions of MailEnable e-mail server. It can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service). The vulnerability is caused by an error occurring when processing DNS responses. This can be exploited to crash the SMTP service by returning a DNS response containing over 100 MX records. This vulnerability is not considered as critical, however we recommend that you install this hotfix.
