H-Sphere 3.1 RC1 is now available for download. This release contains several new updates and features, but is not recommended for production servers.

H-Sphere 3.0 is the latest release of H-Sphere which provides several new updates and features to the prior versions of H-Sphere. A list of the most important features is provided below.

H-Sphere installation/update:

• Common script for H-Sphere installation/update

• H-Sphere Installation Wizard via CP

• Added non-interactive commandline mode for the install/update script

• Added the 'revert' option to downgrade system packages to the previous versions

• Added customizing other files included into H-Sphere packages

• Excluding default MySQL/PostgreSQL versions from H-Sphere update

• Added possibility to choose an alternative psoft mirror site for downloading packages during installation/update.

Control Panel:

• Affiliate support for moderated signups

• Ensim migration into H-Sphere

• Added possibility to access CP via alternative CP URLs

• AccountCheck report to fix broken resources under accounts

• Improved Trouble Ticket system

• Deleted accounts can be restored from admin CP. Their data is now stored as XML in the system HS DB.

• Added custom icons for mailobjects using custom antispam /antivirus settings

• Extended Unix and Windows usernames up to 16 characters

• Major menu and navigation improvements in admin CP for XPressia, XPressia Light and Left Menu designs

• Implemented a framework for switching plans between Unix and Windows platforms (by means of a separate .hsp package - beta version).

• Implemented blacklist for emails and domains (with wildcard) to make them unavailable for end users.

Simplified reseller:

• Markup Plans created by H-Sphere admin with predefined resources and prices to be resold by resellers

• Now resellers will automatically obtain both administrative and user accounts upon signup.

Load Balancing:

• New scheme of load balancing in H-Sphere

• LB cluster implementation with generic Linux NFS shared storage

• Added load balanced mail server cluster implementation

• Added GFS filer support

• Choosing remote Web and MySQL Logical Servers for Horde Webmail

• Choosing remote Web logical servers for phpMyAdmin/phpPgAdmin frontends

• Choosing remote MySQL logical servers for SpamAssassin DB

Mail System:

• Mail hosting under service domain for 3rd level domains

• Alphabetical sorting of mailboxes into lists with "first-letter" navigation on the Mail controls page introduced in user CP

• Catch All and forwards disabled for the postmaster mailbox

• New scheme of mail bouncing: added bouncingip, temperror, strictbounce, maxwrongrcpts qmail params

• Outgoing IP and Bouncing IP managed from CP interface

• MIME types option added for AntiVirus resource

• Added ability to configure mail relay and other IP/Subnet dependent Qmail settings

• Added qmail-spp engine aimed to add rblspp plugin

• Added possibility to change mailbox password outside H-Sphere CP.

Billing System:

• Sequential numbering for billing statements

• Added psoft/hsphere/country_info.xml to add non-US/Canada states to contact/billing info forms.

Windows Features and Improvements

• SharePoint support

• Switching between versions of ASP.NET and PHP in Web settings of a user domain

• Added Dedicated Application Pool, Web Directory and Web Application resources

• Improved Winbox security scheme: subaccounts of one FTP account can't access directories of each other

• Improved Winbox Shared SSL scheme

Comodo SSL:

• Ability for resellers to resell ComodoSSL certificates

• ComodoSSL Certificate renewal

Dedicated Hosting:

• Creating PTR zones for dedicated hosting

• Adding reverse DNS (PTR) records for IPs

Other Unix Features:

• Webshell in CGI mode with possibility to enable it for particular Logical Server
