Parallels System Automation provides separate control panels for:
- Users / mailbox owners
- Service purchasers / administrators

Each control panel provides a user-friendly interface for managing servers and resources without requiring users to have an in depth knowledge of server commands.
The Parallels System Automation control panels are multi-layered - each level in the hierarchy determines the capabilities, branding, and service plans available to lower levels. This allows both service providers and resellers to establish service plans which meet the needs of users.

Operations Management
Parallels System Automation incorporates all aspects of service management including service plan creation, automatic provisioning, customer support, marketing, server management, system monitoring, and more.
Changes entered into the Parallels System Automation control panel or a commerce web site are automatically communicated to the management servers to initiate service delivery. Provisioning and configuration of all system resources (web servers, application servers, FTP servers, mail servers, database servers, DNS servers, etc.) takes place automatically. Changes are also communicated to all external and back office resources (billing, accounting, CRM, domain registrars, monitoring, etc.). A high level view of these components is provided in the diagram below.

Mail resources, web resources, and application resources can be hosted on separate machines that are optimally configured for the service being supported. When more resources are needed, Parallels System Automation allows providers to add a server of a specific resource type.
