Software Requirements

In order for SiteBuilder to work properly, the following software should be installed in the system prior to the SiteBuilder installation:

  • OS Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 or OS Windows Server 2003 any edition and any version (32-bit or 64-bit) with Service Pack 1.

    Note: It is very important to have the latest service packs installed in your operating systems prior to installing SiteBuilder.

  • If you have OS Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 installed, then you need IIS v5.0 installed on your computer.
  • If you have OS Windows Server 2003 any edition and any version (32-bit or 64-bit) with Service Pack 1, then you need IIS v6.0 installed on your computer.

The following software also needs to be available in order for SiteBuilder for Windows to work properly:

  • MS framework.net 2.0
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 (any edition)

    Note: Installation package includes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express.

  • MDAC 2.8
  • Windows Installer 3.1

    Note: If this software is not installed in the system, the SiteBuilder Installation Wizard installs it automatically during the installation process.

Hardware Requirements

The following hardware is needed in order to install and run the program:

  • Processor: 1-gigahertz (GHz) Pentium III-compatible or faster processor recommended
  • Memory: 512 megabytes (MB) of RAM or more recommended
  • Hard Disk: Approximately 350 MB of available hard-disk space for the recommended installation

Published Site Requirements

List of requirements for the publishing location:

  • Windows 2000 or newer
  • IIS 5.0 or newer
  • ASP.NET 2.0
  • Location itself should be configured to be an IIS application (not a simple virtual folder)
  • IIS application must be mapped into application pool that does not host any ASP.NET 1.1 applications (but it may host any number of other ASP.NET 2.0 applications)
  • Location root folder should contain a subfolder named App_Data that has all modify permissions granted to the account under which the application pool runs
  • ADO.NET provider for OLE DB must be enabled
