- Close all open applications (if any), and reboot Windows.
- Open Windows/System32/drivers and remove the prlfs.sys file, if it is still present.

- Start Windows in the Safe Mode (Press F8 key (F8+Fn) during the boot-up process and choose Safe Mode from the list).
- Uninstall Parallels Tools. To do this click Start – Control Panel – Add or Remove Programs.
- Reboot Windows in normal mode.
- While Windows is running, install Parallels Tools again. For this choose Install Parallels Tools from the Actions menu in the Mac menubar. The installation Wizard will lead you through the process.
- Reboot Windows again.
