Installation Suggestions and Instructions

To install Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.7 for Linux, follow these instructions:

1. Download the vzinstall-linux.bin file to a computer where you plan to install Parallels Virtuozzo Containers.
2. At the terminal, type:

   su
Enter the root password.
3. Change to the directory where the file was downloaded. Type:

   cd <directory path name>
4. Change the permission of the file you downloaded to be executable. Type:

   chmoda+x vzinstall-linux-x86_64.bin
 or chmoda+x vzinstall-linux-i386.bin
 depending on your hardware architecture.
5. Start the installation process. Type:

   ./vzinstall-linux-x86_64.bin
 or ./vzinstall-linux-i386.bin depending on your hardware architecture.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen.
