Largest China-based Linux Distributer to Offer Parallels Virtuozzo Containers in OEM Agreement
RENTON, Wash., February 8, 2008 - Parallels, Inc. and Red Flag Software Company, Ltd., have signed an agreement to deliver Parallels Virtuozzo Containers virtualization software to Red Flag customers in China.
Red Flag, the largest Linux distributor in Asia, will resell Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0, the leading operating system server virtualization software, as part of its Asianux 3.0. Parallels will also resell the Red Flag bundle to its customers. In addition, Red Flag is now an authorized reseller of Parallels Virtuozzo Containers software.

Parallels entered the Chinese market in October 2005 and provides products in both simplified and traditional Chinese languages. The company maintains an office in Beijing and its business in China has grown 300 percent in the past two years.

The agreement with Red Flag is the latest in a string of reseller and OEM agreements. China's largest server manufacturer, Inspur, also sells Parallels Virtuozzo Containers and most recently, Parallels signed an agreement with Canonical, makers of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, to make Parallels Workstation available for purchase from Canonical.
