CEO Birger Steen recognizes the achievements of ecosystem partners and ISVs that have achieved exceptional cloud services success with Parallels products, solutions, services
ORLANDO, FLORIDA – February 15, 2012 – Parallels, the hosting and cloud services enablement leader, today announced the recipients of the Third Annual Parallels Partner Awards, as Parallels CEO Birger Steen recognized nine companies during Parallels Summit 2012, being held in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center. Parallels Partner Awards recognize outstanding yearly achievements by partners who utilize and innovate with Parallels products, solutions, services and ecosystem to increase their revenue, with special attention given to those partners who have excelled in the rapidly-expanding small and medium business (SMB) cloud services market.

The New Partner of the Year Award recognizes significant growth in sales during the first year as a Parallels partner. It was awarded to Limestone Networks, a Dallas-based provider of enterprise-grade dedicated servers and hosting to resellers, VPS and shared hosts, cloud hosts, gamers, and other clients. Limestone Networks completed their first year in the Parallels Partner Program in 2011, and demonstrated both strong revenue growth and innovative use of Parallels products. "Limestone Networks is honored to be recognized by Parallels as their New Partner of the Year. The Excellence in Innovation award acknowledges the partner that is the most innovative in delivering cloud services to SMBs. Apptix earned the award as the hosting pioneer continues to exemplify the innovative use of Parallels technologies in the areas of services, marketing and technical creativity, as both a hoster and application syndicator. The company has recently completed the certification for Apptix Hosted Microsoft Exchange as part of the Application Packaging Standard (APS) for syndication of cloud services. “Our partnership with Parallels gives Apptix a significant advantage in the delivery of our full suite of cloud-based services,” said David Ehrhardt, President & CEO of Apptix. “Parallels Automation enables us to leverage a single unified provisioning, billing, and management platform for the delivery of all our solutions. APS ISV/Service of the Year signifies an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) who has utilized the Application Packaging Standard (APS) to deliver a cloud-based application on the Parallels platform, providing a stellar end-user experience and driving accelerated run-rate growth for Parallels Service Provider Partners. Symantec is this year’s recipient based on the breadth of services integrated with Parallels, including SSL, desktop and .cloud AV/AS solutions. Symantec is a global leader in providing security, storage and systems management solutions to help consumers and organizations secure and manage their information-driven world. Its software and services protect against more risks at more points, more completely and efficiently, enabling confidence wherever information is used or stored. “Symantec is committed to offering service providers solutions that enable them to offer their customers unmatched security solutions. ViUX Systems earned the Excellence in Shared Web Hosting Services and Parallels Plesk Panel award by exemplifying a strong commitment to the full range of Parallels products, including Parallels Plesk Panel and SiteBuilder, Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, Parallels Server Bare Metal, and Parallels Business Automation Standard (PBAS). ViUX Systems also demonstrates innovation in their customization of the standard PBAS storefront, including designing a user-friendly interface with control bars to easily customize resources and see the resulting price in real-time; a PDF price quote function; and shortening the normal checkout process from seven to as few as four steps. “ViUX Systems has leveraged Parallels Business Automation, Virtuozzo Containers, and Plesk Panel to create a highly automated and integrated Cloud Hosting system with ease of management for both our customers and staff,” said Jonathan Smith, CEO of ViUX Systems.
The Excellence in Messaging & Collaboration Services and Parallels Automation was awarded to KPN, who demonstrates a strong commitment to Parallels Automation technology through successful and creative deployments of Messaging & Collaboration services. KPN is among the world’s leading communications service providers, and continues to provide market innovation for the delivery of SaaS and IaaS through Parallels Automation, including Microsoft Office365 syndication and OpenSRS integration. “We’re proud of winning the Parallels Excellence in Messaging & Collaboration/Automation award and we look forward to working with Parallels in the future. ServInt was presented with the Excellence in Virtualized Infrastructure Services and Virtualization award for dedication to Parallels Virtualization technology. ServInt’s innovative and successful use of Parallels Virtuzzo Containers helps this hosting pioneer provider of high-reliability, managed hosting, including its scalable suite of VPS and Managed Dedicated Server packages to thousands of customers in more than 100 countries.

The following Emerging Region Partner of the Year recipients are all located in an emerging global market, and demonstrate a strong commitment to Parallels products combined with demonstrated growth and an increased base of satisfied customers.
LATAM: UOLDIVEO is one of the largest Brazilian I.T. outsourcing companies. It operates datacenters and metropolitan broadband networks at the country´s main metropolitan areas, providing SLA-backed managed services for more than 3.000 mid to large size companies. A 100% Brazilian company, UOLDIVEO is part of Grupo Folha, one of the biggest private held conglomerates in South America. As one of only a handful service providers in South America to receive syndication rights to distribute Office 365. UOLDIVEO also provides the largest Portuguese web portal in the world, and is working with Parallels to have UOL Host utilize the Parallels Plesk control panel for that business. “Our relationship with Parallels was established in 2009, when we decided to automate one of our SaaS offerings with the Parallels Automation suite,” said Marcos Rodrigo, Director of Product Marketing at UOLDIVEO. “Today, as we have reached a greater level of maturity with this technology and also our partner, we have decided to migrate all of our custom-made automation for the Cloud Computing portfolio with PA. Africa: MTN Cameroon continues to plan and deploy an aggressive strategy for offering shared hosting, VPS, hosted messaging and other cloud services across their emerging market. MTNC will launch one of the most complete services portfolios on Parallels Automation in any emerging market this month, including hosted Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Shared Hosting, VPS and Parallels Plesk Panel SiteBuilder. MTNC is part of the MTNGroup, a multinational telecommunications group, operating in 21 countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Central Asia: Kazakhtelecom JSC, the national carrier of Kazakhstan and one of the fastest growing telecommunications companies in the former Soviet Union, provides a broad spectrum of information and communications services. Since launching their hosting business in 2009 with Parallels Automation, Kazakhtelecom has become the local hosting market leader in Kazakhstan with 30% of registered .kz domains in the country and over 50% market share in web hosting and VPS. Asia: Since its inception in January 2002, PacHosting (Pacificnet Hosting Limited) has quickly grown to become one of the leading hosting service providers in Hong Kong.
