Former Microsoft Marketing Lead Joins SWsoft

Kurt Daniel to Drive Overall Marketing; SWsoft Offers Joint Marketing for Customers & Partners

Herndon, VA, May 17, 2004SWsoft, the established leader in hosting automation and server virtualization software, today announced that former Microsoft marketing lead, Kurt Daniel, has joined the company as Director of Marketing to spearhead its global marketing strategy and programs. The company also invites customers and partners to work with SWsoft to expand their marketing reach.

Daniel is a marketing veteran and has spent the last several years at Microsoft as a Lead Product Manager in the Server and Tools Division, managing a high-impact marketing group for SQL Server, a portfolio of successful Database and Business Intelligence server products. He helped grow the business past $1 Billion and was instrumental in end-to-end SMB and business marketing including partner development, competitive strategy and product planning.

Before Microsoft he was a general management consultant in Business Strategy, Operations and Marketing for ATKearney where he served IT, Telecom and other clients. Daniel holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A from Harvard University.
