The release of Parallels Plesk Expand 2.3 includes several new features that continue Parallels’s Open Platform initiative of enabling integration of all types of web hosting software. This new version also improve centralized management functions for service providers, allowing them to centrally manage backups, hosting plans, and templates.
Support of 64bit architecture — Parallels Plesk Expand now supports 64bit architecture.
Migration for Parallels Plesk Panel for Windows — Providers can migrate clients and domains between Plesk for Windows servers.
Wider OSes support — Parallels Plesk Expand extends the list of supported OSes to include:
Improved backup process management — Use new backup process management to manage central backup storages and to get full control of central backup processes.
Extended limits for Expand clients — With extended limits provider can set custom limits for instances of an Expand client.
Currently Parallels Plesk Expand 2.3 is compatible with Parallels Plesk Panel versions 8.6 and 9.5. Parallels is not planning making it compatible with Parallels Plesk Panel 10 because an architecture of the products is too different. Parallels is working on a new solution that will replace Plesk Expand.
