Parallels Plesk Panel Lifecycle Policy
Parallels is committed to providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions to our customers. Rapidly changing technologies influence the level, timing and character of demand for particular product versions and components. All of this drives the need to introduce new products and services as well as to end support for older software versions.
To assist our customers in this regard, we provide a clear lifecycle and end-of-life (EOL) policy to assist in planning decisions around using and upgrading both Parallels Plesk Panel and the environment in which it is running.
Parallels Plesk Panel Versions
The currently supported Parallels Plesk Panel versions are:- Parallels Plesk Panel 10
- Parallels Plesk Panel 9
- A major version is defined as any change in the first number of the version number. For example, Plesk 9 and Plesk 10 are different major versions whereas Plesk 10.2 and 10.3 are not different major versions.
- Parallels will always provide software patches and accept technical support requests for the latest Parallels Plesk Panel major version and the immediately preceding major version.
- Each major version will be fully supported for at least a period of four (4) years after release.
- Extended Support: After this 4 year period, the product will no longer be available for new purchases and will continue to receive patches only for critical issues. This will last for a period of six (6) months.
- End-of-Life: Once the Extended Support period is over, the product will no longer receive further development and technical support requests will no longer be accepted.
- In order to ensure stable operation and be able to request technical support, it is required to be on the latest update / patch within a major version. For example, this means the latest 9.5.x version in the Plesk 9 series and the latest 10.4.x in the Plesk 10 series.
- Support for a particular instance is also dependent on using a currently supported operating system. This policy is described in the relevant section below.
The below tables describe when specific versions of Parallels Plesk Panel will enter the Extended Support Phase and when patches / support will no longer be available for them. If affected by one of the below dates, customers are encouraged to upgrade to a supported Parallels Plesk Panel version.
Version Lifecycle Dates:

Operating Systems
Operating system vendors have established formal end-of-life policies around the operating systems they develop and maintain. Using a supported operating system is critical to maintaining a stable server environment. As a result, Parallels maintains a lifecycle policy related to operating systems as well.
OS Versions Lifecycle:- For supported versions of Parallels Plesk Panel, Parallels will provide software patches and accept technical support requests for that Parallels Plesk Panel instance – provided the environment in which it is running utilizes an operating system that is within its production lifecycle.
- Support for a particular Parallels Plesk Panel instance will end at the earliest of either the standard product lifecycle or the vendor termination date of the operating system on which that instance is running. A newer operating system version may be used in order to continue receiving support through the rest of the release lifecycle.
- As new releases of Parallels Plesk Panel become available, Parallels may consider which operating systems and versions thereof to include in that release or remove from that release. This will not affect the support status of existing releases; they will continue to follow the tables below.
- Typically, support for new operating system versions will only be added to the most recently released Parallels Plesk Panel version. For example, a new version of CentOS would be added only to the latest Parallels Plesk Panel release, but not to any earlier versions.
To assist with monitoring operating system production lifecycles, Parallels offers the below tables describing the dates by which a particular operating system ended its production life cycle and, synonymously, when Parallels will no longer provide software patches or accept technical support requests for Parallels Plesk Panel instances running on these operating systems. Parallels recommends monitoring this list and ensuring that customers’ operating system environments are kept up-to-date.
