These improvements and brand new abilities were designed to help Panel administrators and customers manage web hosting services in a faster, simpler, and more efficient way:

• Configurable PHP settings - get fine-grained control over the settings at plan and subscription levels and, even more, at website and subdomain levels.
• Support for Web Deploy and Web Matrix - publish code in a fast and convenient way to production environments.
• Control over Apache modules - improve web server performance tuning by turning off unused Apache modules.
• Quick preview of websites even before all the necessary DNS records are set up.

Also, the new Panel version incorporates the ability to download logs through FTP, add DNS zone presets for subdomains, use the majority of domain features on subdomains, the support for SmarterMail 8, the ability to send mail from customers' dedicated IP addresses and some other minor yet very useful refinements.

Panel Usability

The following features bring user experience of working with Parallels Panel to the new level of convenience:

• Quick search - promptly find an account, a page, or an action by typing your request in the new search box.
• Unified Tools & Settings page - view all tools or settings in one click as they are available on the unified Tools & Settings page.
• Hosting management from Server Administration Panel allows you to remain in Server Administration Panel while working with web hosting tools of your customers.
• Simple view for customers - hide unnecessary interface elements of Control Panel from novice customers.
• Simple view for administrators - choose only the tools you would like to use and hide complexity from starters.
• Remote monitoring - access critical server health info via mobile iPhone, Android or BlackBerry phone using free Parallels Plesk Panel Mobile Monitor app.

The new version also includes the some minor amendments, namely, the subscription users can be limited to only one subscription, Panel shows the disk space occupied by each mailbox in the mailboxes list, the overuse settings are rearranged, the Domains page provides more detailed information about domains and subscriptions, and more.

Installation, Upgrade, Migration, Backing Up and Restoration

This group of updates aims at achieving safe and straightforward switch to Panel and keeping up-to-date:

• Notifications about updates and upgrades - be informed about the latest technology and security fixes; limit notifications to only the upgrades that match the desired quality level.
• Migration tools, enriched flexibility and improved troubleshooting - view already migrated objects, disallow license migration, view detailed descriptions of migration failures and much more.
• SSO by IP - no need to configure a host name for SSO, now it can use IP addresses of Panel and Business Manager.
• Backup Manager, improved troubleshooting and reliability - view the detailed information about reasons of backup creation failures and forget about failures caused by insufficient disk space.

Also, the new Panel supports new OSes (CentOS 5.7, CentOS 6.1, CloudLinux 6.1) and the new EZ templates allow to upgrade Panel to any other future version.

Parallels Plesk Panel Power Pack 10.4

New changes to Power Pack include:

Power Pack Apps Moving to Plesk Panel 10.4 - With the release of Plesk Panel 10.4, several applications contained in previous versions of Plesk Power Pack now become available to all users who upgrade to Plesk Panel 10.4. These include: 

• Application Pack - enables one-click installation of more than 250 open source and commercial applications from the growing APS Catalog within Plesk Panel 10.4.
• SpamAssassin - the most popular and well recognized tool for spam filtration on the market.

New in Plesk Panel Power Pack 10.4 - Plesk Power Pack users who upgrade to Plesk Panel 10.4 will also get the following new applications:

• Kaspersky Anti-Virus - This award-winning software from Kaspersky Labs combines traditional anti-virus defense methods with the latest proactive technologies to provide solid and dependable protection against malicious programs, viruses, spyware, Trojan viruses, worms, and keyloggers. Power Pack includes protection for five mailboxes which you can use to expand your offerings to SMBs and grow your business.
• UNITY Mobile - UNITY Mobile is an extremely powerful yet easy-to-use platform that enables ANY organization to create, publish, and manage mobile websites and native mobile applications. Offer customers mobile rendering of their web sites that sets up in minutes. Power Pack includes two domains which you can use to compliment your existing services.
• Plesk Mobile Server Manager - Access Panel server info and control core admin functions from iPhone, Android and BlackBerry devices. Offer your customers free Plesk server mobile monitoring and upsell to Plesk server mobile management.

Customer and Business Manager 10.4

The major release features are:

• Reseller accounts support - resell web hosting services purchased from a service provider.
• Integration SDK - use the SDK to create own on-site payment gateway plug-ins, domain registrar plug-ins and SSL certificate provider plug-ins.
• Customization of schet-facturas - customize various parameters of schet-facturas look and feel (schet-facturas are financial documents for the Russian market).

Web Presence Builder 10.4

Enhanced Content Management

The following features bring dynamics to your web pages and make it easy for you to collaborate with others over the Web:

• Blog - post your thoughts, news and other interesting bits of information; take advantage of the cut functionality and calendar.
• Comments (Disqus based) - add this module to any page or blog post to allow website visitors to leave their comments. The moderation facilities are also provided.
• Document Manager - upload price lists and other documents to websites and make them accessible to website visitors through standard Link functionality of the Text & Images module.

Deployment and Customization

These features help you get advanced control over core product settings and even install the software separately from Panel:

• Adding and removing website topics - create the list of website presets that you want by adding own website topics and removing existing topics from the list.
• Custom link to Getting Started video and Help - direct your customers to your own documentation and tutorials by modifying links to the Getting Started video and Help in a configuration file.
• Stand-alone edition - install stand-alone Builder that does not require Panel.

Migration and Upgrade

• Limited content import from Sitebuilder 4.5 - import websites from previous versions of Builder. Note that this functionality has some limitations – not all content and design can be imported.
