What’s New in Plesk 7 Reloaded

Parallels Plesk 7 "Reloaded" is the major new release of the award-winning Plesk control panel software and includes over 50 powerful new features. The software adds many new capabilities and underscores the commitment to excellence Parallels has made to both hosting providers and end users.

Plesk 7 Reloaded offers important new features:

Retooled Plesk Interface – Redesigned cleaner and easier to use — Plesk again sports a new "XP Reloaded" interface with an additional Aqua skin and even the option for users to create their own skins and manage them in the browser-based interface. In addition the Admin is now a client of the system and can act as the default client for the entire server making shared hosting setup even easier.

Automated Key Update — Update your license directly from your Plesk software immediately upon upgrading. Admins with the touch of a button can receive the status of their license keys and update them directly from the Plesk interface. In addition leased keys will be able to renew automatically without the owner interaction. Managing a Plesk license has never been easier.

Auto Upgrade – Automate software updates and upgrades directly from the Plesk interface. Now Admins will be able to provide more security knowing that they are running the newest and most secure version of Plesk. New features, patches, hot fixes and more will be upgradeable from their control panel interface.

Migration Manager — Modular in architecture and employing different plug-ins the Migration Manager allows users to quickly migrate accounts from cPanel, Ensim, Cobalt, old Plesk versions, In-house systems, or any other system to their new Plesk 7 Reloaded server. Moving to Plesk has never been easier than with Plesk 7 Reloaded.

Additional Features:

International Domain Names — Complete support for the International Domain Naming conventions and their characters. Plesk new UTF8 interface redesign will fully recognize characters from Japan, Korea, China, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway, Austria, China, Arabic countries and any native language of the user’s choice.

Professional Website Editor — Users now have an add-on option to install and use a powerful server solution for managing and creating web-sites with the browser-based WYSIWYG HTML editor. The new development tool is the easiest way for customers to create, modify and update their own website eliminating the need for technical HTML knowledge.

Web Based Automated Installation — Fully web-based for installation and ongoing management without need to use command line. Simply login to the Parallels website, select the OS that corresponds to your system, enter your IP and access info and we will do the rest. Now your system can be up and running in minutes without even so much as a download.

Chrooted Shell Access — Increasing security is a theme with Plesk 7… Admins can add Chrooted shell accounts as an option to the list of shells allowed for clients. When selected the client will be jailed in the domain’s directory when accessing the server and his domain via SSH.
