As the official launch of Windows 7 approaches, many users are likely to encounter compatibility issues that prevent them continuing from running their key Windows XP-based programs.
Fortunately, Parallels is offering a new product that will enables users to run their existing Windows XP programs side-by-side with Windows 7. Users will have complete access to all of their favorite Windows XP programs, including programs that are not supported by Windows 7, without having to reinstall or upgrade those programs in Windows 7’s XP Mode. Users will even be able to migrate their existing Windows XP programs and data straight to their new Windows 7 computer.
For software developers that will have to ensure that their programs will work with the various versions of Windows, this new Parallels solution will offer a cost-effective approach for them to test and validate their products across the different flavors of Windows on a single PC.
Parallels Transporter lets users easily migrate Windows XP, including its programs, files and data, from an existing computer to new virtual machine on a Windows 7 host computer (Physical Computer to Virtual Computer, P2V migration).
Coherence will allow Windows and Linux guest OSs to run in virtual computers side-by-side with Windows 7 for a single, seamless user experience.
SmartX Technologies work behind the scenes to let users instantly access files, folders, data and devices across OSs.
Parallels FastLane Architecture offers a turbo-charged virtualization engine for maximum performance.
