Introduction to Parallels Virtuozzo Containers. Main features. Typical range of applications.
- Installation and Licensing
Hardware and software requirements. Installation procedure. Licensing principles.
- Basic operations
Getting-started: creation of Containers; basic operations with Containers. This topic is useful for system administrators who are not yet familiar with Parallels Virtuozzo Containers technology.
- Graphical Management Tools
Using Parallels Virtual Automation to manage hardware nodes, Containers, and enterprise level virtualization infrastructure.
- Template Management
Template management in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers. Classification of templates. EZ and standard templates. Installation of template-based applications on host and Container levels. Creating new templates.
- Resource Management
Managing resources used by Containers. QoS parameters. UBC and vSwap modes.
- Network Configuration
Routed and bridged modes. VLAN technology in Parallels Virtuozzo Containers. Using GUI and command line to set up different network modes.
- Miscellaneous
A variety of additional topics, including providing access to host files from Containers, cluster technology, SNMP monitoring, and setting firewalls.
