Technical Account Manager

Role definition

Parallels is looking for an outstanding Technical Account Manager in Munich or London to join our support team and assist with both technical and strategic help in using Parallels products. Focus of this position is to be a single POC driving and advocating partner initiatives that deliver higher stability, higher partner satisfaction, all while driving MRR goals.

Key Duties:

  • Exceed customer expectations as their key resource within Parallels
  • Maintain current functional and technical knowledge of the entire Parallels product line
  • Manage and drive competing requests across simultaneous client engagements
  • Provide clear and constructive product feedback to Parallels Product Management teams based on customer requirements
  • Help to document best practices in developing and deploying Parallels solutions to select customers
  • Function as a front-line technical resource for "best practice" and informal customer questions

  • Conducting a consultative review of your existing IT infrastructure to determine how Parallels technology can best help you
  • Reviewing your implementation plans and making recommendations in line with best practices
  • Identifying potential technical or business obstacles and suggesting solutions
  • Providing updates on Parallels’ strategic and product roadmaps
  • Providing access to Parallels product experts when needed
  • Putting you at the front of the queue for product upgrades and new releases
  • Conduct quarterly site visits and delivering quarterly reviews that summarize support issue trends and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:

  • At least 8+ years experience in customer-facing positions in support, technical account manager, sales account management or other role
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies, with emphasis on software and hardware architecture, and infrastructure design and development
  • Strong analytical skills regarding technical and project management issues
  • Flexible to be on-call via a company provided mobile device to respond to high-severity customer issues during non-standard business hours
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands
  • Ability to interact and communicate with multiple levels of people including CxO
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills including presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30 percent of the time, including internationally
  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent industry experience

Language skills:

  • German & English (fluently)
  • Other European languages are an advantage

Solution Architect

Position Overview

This position will be responsible for translating the client's business requirements into a specific system, application or process scope. This includes working with client personnel and executives to identify functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution.

The role will report to the EMEA Professional Services Manager, and will help drive services efficiency, customer satisfaction, and repeatable successful engagements for Parallels products for the hosting and cloud services provider audience.

Requirements

Sales and Territory Manager, Central European Region

Role purpose:

To grow the business of Parallels in Central European region(DACH/Eastern Europe) in service providers businesses. Increase Parallels market share in server virtualization, VDI, service providers panels, cloud infrastructure automation. Develop local partnerships to position Parallels as a cloud market leader. Locate in Munich or remote home office.

Key Responsibilities:

Under limited direction meet and exceed assigned goals, increase territory revenue, prospect and close accounts by leveraging sales tools, partners and through individual initiative. Establish and nurture relationships with all levels of customer organizations as appropriate, departmental through line of business and CxO. Assimilate specific vertical market background, requirements, and infrastructure attributes, and apply this knowledge to sell Parallels solutions. Drive account strategies and coordinate team-selling efforts to close software business on a quarterly and annual basis. Manage multiple prospects, customers and opportunities, maintaining accurate forecasting and clear management communication. Drive references based on customer satisfaction in all assigned accounts.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience selling enterprise software within the service providers vertical.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota while maintaining customer loyalty and required product margins.
  • Experience managing multiple accounts within a geography to aggressively grow revenue and customer base.
  • Strong experience managing multi-tiered customer and service provider relationships. Demonstrated ability to penetrate and close new accounts and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop and manage productive eco-system partners.
  • Strategic account planning experience-history of proactive creation and ongoing management of detailed account plans.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and time management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40-50% of the time.
  • Competitive, ethical, refuse-to-lose attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent team building and influencing skills.
  • BA/BS in Business, Management, Computer Science, or Engineering fields.

Training Program & Design Manager

We are looking for an experienced Training Program & Design Manager to help coordinate Parallels worldwide education efforts for the Parallels Automation product. This position will take direction from the Sr. Manager of Enablement & Development to create, modify, and develop training materials for Parallels customer, partner, and internal employee education needs. This is a global position, as the employee will use their considerable background in education and the cloud industry to collaborate with Professional Services training personnel/vendors in US, Russia, and India.

Location: Munich, Germany or London, UK or Schaffhausen, Switzerland

Responsibilities:

  • Increase the success of our customers through outstanding education
  • Share education best practices to improve the design and development of both eLearning and Instructor-Led training (ILT) courseware
  • Collaborate with training staff to ensure successful execution of the Parallels Automation training plan
  • Partner with Parallels internal stakeholders and training clients to track the success of the Parallels Automation portfolio of education

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 5+ years of experience in creating and managing education and certification programs, preferably in support of the software industry
  • Previous cloud and hosting industry experience
  • Ability to drive the existing vision of high-quality training and certification materials
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high attention to accuracy and quality of work
  • Successfully operate within global, cross-functional teams
  • Experience in operating a Learning Management System and eLearning curriculum
  • Expertise in Training Facilitation and managing ILT curriculum, preferably as illustrated in one or more professional certifications (i.e., MCT, etc.)

Preference will be given to candidates who also have the following qualifications:

  • Previous professional services experience
  • Basic understanding of technical and architectural design of multi-environment, multi-platform, and multi-tenancy opportunities
  • Pre-requisite knowledge and experience in Microsoft and/or Linux products, as illustrated in one or more professional certifications (i.e., MCTS, MCITP, RHCE, etc.)
