Big Cats: An Illustrated History of Mac OS X

Back when my colleague Kurt Schmucker and I worked on Office for Mac, we used to play a game: Who could name the most cats in the Mac OS X lineup in chronological order? It even turned into a rite of passage for newbies joining the team—learn the lineup or be shamed.

Now that Apple has broken its own tradition and moved on to naming operating systems after California landmarks, Git Tower has decided to paid homage to the Big Cats with a beautiful microsite that chronicles the fabulous felines of Mac OS X, along with some well-chosen reminders about what each version signaled.
