How to record audio on Mac

Use this tool to record audio from your computer’s built-in microphone. A blinking icon in the Dock lets you know that audio is recording. You can additionally record from an external microphone if it is selected as the input source in System Preferences > Sound.

  1. Launch Parallels Toolbox for Mac.
  2. Select “Record Audio” to start recording.
  3. Click “Record Audio” in the Mac Dock to stop recording.
  4. The audio recording will be saved as an .MP4 file to be used in the iTunes app, iPhone, iPod, and Android devices.
