The VIPP Program provides an opportunity for participants to gain a deeper understanding of the strategies and technologies that make Parallels solutions successful.

Selected IT professionals, experts and contributors in the end-user computing (EUC) arena help shape the future of Parallels® RAS and Parallels community tools relating to remote access and cloud computing.

The VIPP Program allows its members to contribute and influence product strategy based on their valuable experience, market demands and trends.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates for the VIPP Program have consistently demonstrated their real-world EUC knowledge by:

  • Contributing to online discussions in social media and other forums, sharing their insights
  • Involving themselves in strengthening the current EUC space
  • Publishing technical documentation, blogs, articles or books
  • Offering continuous technical expertise in the EUC field
  • Speaking at IT conferences

Expectations

VIPP members are expected to maximize their contribution by:

  • Agreeing to a nondisclosure agreement (NDA)
  • Considered as a Parallels RAS technology expert
  • Active contribution to the program, providing technical and strategic feedback
  • Attend organized online meetings and annual summit
  • Publishing Parallels RAS related articles
  • Being involved in the Parallels Forum
  • Sharing events for joint activities

Admins in small to mid-sized businesses appreciate not only his PowerShell scripts, but also his detailed and thorough approach and prescriptive guidance.

I first wrote software in 1980 as a teenager and then for 6 years from 1988 after graduating from the University of Manchester with a Computer Science degree. In 1995 I became involved with Citrix and have moved in the EUC sphere ever since with a number of stints at Citrix partners in the UK and a long tenure at AppSense (now Ivanti) after coming up with the idea, and writing from scratch, a security product in 1998 that became AppSense Application Manager (now Ivanti Application Control).

In 2009 and 2010 I was awarded the VMware vExpert title (the first 2 years of the program) and again in 2020, the Citrix Technology Advocate honour in 2019 and both Citrix Technology Professional and Microsoft MVP in 2020.

Currently I am a self employed consultant providing a mixture of services to end customers, Citrix partners and software vendors, specialising in troubleshooting and software development.
