Parallels Remote Application Server Helps Kansas Children’s Service League Increase Administrative Efficiency While Reducing Costs
DALLAS, TX, March 18th, 2013 – Kansas Children’s Service League , a leading state-wide contractor for adoption services, has achieved a significant increase in administrative efficiency while reducing costs by using Parallels Remote Application Server to deliver applications across its state-wide offices in Kansas.
KCSL’s servers are located in the Topeka office where they support 32 locations across the state of Kansas. Their databases and applications are mainly installed on the terminal servers in Topeka. The information that they gather in their databases is required to document the needs of the clients that they serve, and the progress that is made by their social workers.
When KCSL’s IT staff was cut by more than 50%, they turned to Parallels Remote Application Server to make deployment more efficient. They originally purchased a Parallels Remote Application Server license for 2 terminal servers in 2007. KCSL currently have a Parallels Gateway server and 4 Terminal Servers which are 2 – 64 Bit and 2 – 32 bit, all running on Microsoft HyperV.
Parallels Remote Application Server is a secure, scalable solution which is easy-to-use and easy-to manage. The deciding factor in KCSL choosing Parallels was the time savings that could be realized by deploying Parallels Remote Application Server. Another significant benefit was with the efficiency of deployment. KCSL used Microsoft Terminal Server before the switch to Parallels. They went from having no support to having Parallels Support which was an added benefit of the move to Parallels Remote Application Server.
