This document describes the new Parallels EOL policy. 

To help you plan and prepare for your maintenance and support needs, this page describes the key milestones and support policies in the product lifecycle for Parallels server products, including Parallels Virtuozzo Containers, Parallels Server Bare Metal and Parallels Virtual Automation. For existing products, this information is posted on the Product Matrix below. Our standard approach is to set the EOM date a minimum of 2 years after the GA date and the EOL date a minimum of 4 years after the GA date. 

The date when a new product release may be ordered and fulfilled. With the GA of a new release, some applicable offerings of the previous release will be phased out. During GA, Parallels will provide:

• Releases/patches to implement security fixes, critical bugfixes and updates to support MS hotfixes
• Releases with updates to support new primary/guest OSs and devices support
• Paid support, KB articles and forum support

The date when a specific product release will have no further code-level maintenance other than security and critical updates. Code level maintenance is typically delivered in the form of updates. In some cases Parallels customers may be required to implement an update to continue to receive maintenance on the product.

Effective on the EOM date:
Technical support continues as before but code-level maintenance will be limited to security related issues and other issues deemed critical by Parallels. Security issues could be related to publicly identified security vulnerabilities, Microsoft’s publicly released security updates, or other security vulnerabilities.

The date that signifies when security-related and critical hot fixes, technical support and product downloads will no longer be available. Technical support for other issues will be limited to information contained in the Parallels Knowledge Base and Support Forums. If the issues cannot be corrected through these methods, then an upgrade path or migration to the latest version or product replacement is recommended.

Effective upon the EOL date there will be no further:

• Support of the affected releases by the Parallels Support Team
• Product updates for the affected releases
• Future integrations of the affected releases with any Parallels Products
