Presented at Parallels Summit 2012 APAC, the awards recognize leading service providers that demonstrate outstanding success by delivering cloud services enabled by Parallels
SINGAPORE - September 21, 2012 – Parallels, a hosting and cloud services enablement leader, today announced the winners of its second Asia Pacific Partner Awards at the Parallels Summit 2012 APAC. The Awards recognizes partners in the region that have achieved notable growth, shown innovative strategies and optimized their business for future success in the Asia Pacific cloud market through the use of Parallels products, solutions and ecosystem. The award recipients were announced in Singapore at Parallels Summit 2012 APAC, being held from September 21 – 22 at the Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa Resort.
The Awards comprised four categories reflecting excellence in the cloud through the use of Parallels technology. The Parallels APAC Partner Award winners for 2012 are:

APAC Partner of the Year
The APAC Partner of the Year award recognizes a partner in the Parallels Partner Program that has experienced strong revenue growth, displayed innovative in usage of Parallels products, and demonstrated significant investment in creating services tailored for SMBs. Receiving the 2012 award is iiNet, Australia’s second largest DSL Internet Service Provider. A Parallels Partner for five years, iiNet is today one of Parallel’s top partners globally.
“Consolidating our business on Parallels Automation has enabled iiNet to grow our footprint in offering various productivity-driven hosting services for SMBs in Australia,” said Kevin Clark, Hosting Manager at iiNet. “This award is a great recognition and truly reflects our efforts to take advantage of the growing cloud opportunity.”
APAC New Partner of the Year
The New APAC Partner of the Year award recognizes a partner that has demonstrated strong revenue growth and innovation in the usage of Parallels products under the first year of the Parallels Partner Program. Receiving the award is CtrlS, who was the first to run Tier 4-certified data centers in India.

This award is an acknowledgement of our position and leadership in the competitive marketplace.”
Excellence in Innovation
The Excellence in Innovation award recognizes a partner that has demonstrated the innovative use of Parallels technologies in the development and delivery of innovative services, marketing tactics or strategy, or technical creativity. Receiving the award is Telstra, Australia's leading telecommunications and information services company, and one of the world’s largest telecommunications services providers. Telstra has received the award for the innovative design and enhancements the company has made with the Parallels Automation.
“Parallels Business Automation has enabled effortless integration into various Telstra Systems including identity management, customer relationship management and finance,” said Kevin Kennedy, Director, Cloud Engineering at Telstra. “This integration has allowed us to be better positioned to meet the needs of our customers.”
Outstanding Solution for the SMB
The Outstanding Solution for SMB award recognizes a Parallels partner that has created a service offering that allowed SMB end-users to reach superior productivity. Receiving this award is Otsuka Corporation, a virtualized infrastructure services provider in Japan.
“This award is testament to the strength of the partnership between Otsuka and Parallels,” said Takeshi Hasegawa, Application Specialist, ASP Development Division, Tayore-ru Management Services Center at Otsuka Corporation.
