The unauthorized use of a device could result with the need to take action to prevent the user from further accessing the device or in extreme situations, wipe the device of all of its data.

Lock a Device

Lock a device and optionally enforce a new lock screen password (Android only) according to the instructions below:

  1. Navigate to the 'Devices' node.
  2. Select a device.
  3. Click 'Lock'.

4. You shall be prompted with lock dialogue box and can select to:

  • Change Password: Enable this option to change the device password
  • Set locking password: Enter the new password
  • Send password to user: Enable this option to send the new password to the device user's email address
  • Send command by SMS: Optionally enable to lock the device via SMS

5. Click 'Lock'.

Selecting to unlock a device will remove any password, pass-code or pattern set on that device.

Wipe a Device

Follow the next steps to wipe a selected device of all of its data:

  1. Navigate to the 'Devices' node.
  2. Select a device.
  3. Click 'Wipe'.
  4. Enter Parallels MDM account 'Administrator' password.
  5. Click 'Wipe'.

Once completed, the ‘Push’ notification dialogue window shall appear to confirm the lock or wipe request was successfully pushed to the selected device.
