A recent study from analysis giant Nielsen, has shown us that more people in the USA use Android smartphones than any other device. This is a major improvement, for only last year, Android smartphones were trailing Apple's iPhone by 9%.
Nielsen's report states that Android has a 42.8% market share, with Apple's iPhone in second place at 28.3%. Therefore, 71% of smartphone users in the USA use either Android or iPhone devices!
When it comes to Android smartphones, 15% use HTC, 10.4% Motorola, 10.1% Samsung and 7.2% being made up of other Android smartphones. Also, what's interesting is that the study shows us that 44% of all US mobile subscribers have a smartphone. That figure is expected to double within the next 5 years! Moreover, in the last three months, 56% of US users chose smartphones, as these devices make it easier to access email, the internet and use apps for business.
A great deal of companies prefer to give their employees smartphones instead of a laptop. This, however, poses a question - how will businesses manage all these mobile devices? The answer is simple - 2X MDM. Businesses are turning to 2X MDM because it's easy to use, allows them to secure their mobile devices, deploy apps and find and track all connected devices.
