All by way of saying, Parallels Desktop is now easier than ever to update. Updates can be installed without administrator privileges, meaning that an administrator password is no longer required. 

In addition, Parallels Desktop has never been easier to install. Unlike previous versions, macOS Big Sur and Parallels Desktop no longer require users to authorize extensions of the system via macOS security settings when installing the product. Installation previously required administrator permissions to enable this step, but this has since been eliminated. That means less manual work for administrators as well as quicker and easier deployment of Parallels.
