Why Businesses Are Shifting to the Cloud

Driven by the need for mobility, flexibility and total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) reduction, business leaders are shifting from on-premises to managed application and desktop delivery services and the cloud. By leveraging a managed service model, businesses can focus on more critical initiatives.

Take Advantage of Cloud Adoption

As part of the PSP program, you’ll be able to help your clients quickly adopt a cloud strategy to access digital workspaces from anywhere at any time, seamlessly. Parallels RAS empowers SPs to offer native-like, full-featured desktops and applications to any device, operating system or platform.

Help Your Clients to Achieve Their Goals

Parallels RAS streamlines Remote Desktop Session Hosts (RDSH) and VDI management, reducing IT overheads and helping you to deliver more price-competitive services without sacrificing margins. Help your customers to implement bring-your-own-device (BYOD) and choose-your-own-device (CYOD) policies, digital workspace and flexible working. Enable clients to achieve their goal of reducing IT overhead and freeing up IT resources while increasing the quality of service and improving user productivity.

Simplified Web Access with Parallels HTML5 Client

Provide your customers with secure access to published resources from any HTML5 browser. The Parallels HTML5 Client is an OS-independent web-based application that provides access to resources without requiring any installations on the end-user device.

White Labeling (Customization)

Provide your customers with a blended and personalized “look and feel” for their workspace environment by customizing the Parallels HTML5 Portal and Windows Client user interface (UI), enabling the same work experience no matter the device or location.

Multi-Tenant Broker Component

Effortlessly manage multiple customers (tenants) under the same Parallels RAS Console. Maximize resource usage by sharing standard components such as gateways and load balancers while keeping the customer data isolated and secure.

REST-API and PowerShell

Save time and costs while optimizing resource usage by integrating REST-API and PowerShell cmdlets to automate every day, complex and repetitive tasks. In addition, integrating third-party tools and technologies into your services becomes much easier.

Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Single Sign-on (SSO) Authentication

Provide instant customer onboarding and deliver better services by integrating SAML based SSO authentication technology. Allow customers to use their corporate credentials to log in to your services. When using SAML SSO authentication, users are not required to re-enter their credentials to login and launch their applications or desktops offered by you, providing a smoother user experience.

Auto-Provisioning and Auto-Scaling

Build your customized virtual machine (VM) templates to maintain high performance for your virtual applications and desktops by scaling on-demand your computing resources. Parallels RAS can dynamically create, remove and load-balance user sessions based on predefined criteria, ensuring sudden load spikes or drops in traffic are quickly handled without any manual action needed.

Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Smart Cards

Provide additional layers of security for your customer data by utilizing MFA before granting access to your services. Parallels RAS integrates with third-party security solutions such as Radius, Deepnet, SafeNet, Azure MFA and Google Authenticator. Additionally, smart card authentication is supported.

Ultra-Fast Log-in with Session Prelaunch

Enable users to log in and access your published applications and desktops faster by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) based session prelaunch technology. Parallels RAS machine learning (ML) capability analyzes user login habits and pre-launches their applications and sessions, reducing login time and distributing back-end workload, preventing log-on storms during peak hours.

DaaS on Microsoft Azure

Provide your customers with a flexible approach in shifting to the cloud by supporting on-premises, hybrid, multi- and public cloud deployments. Utilize Microsoft Azure scalability capabilities along with Parallels RAS automation to deploy, manage and maintain RDSH and VDI infrastructures.

Superior Mobile Experience

Customers using a mobile device can access your services wherever they are while enjoying a consistent user experience, retaining productivity across devices. Mobile native gestures, multitasking on different applications, quick keypads and simplified printing provide an intuitive and seamless user experience.

Printing Redirection

Ready out of the box, Parallels RAS Universal Printing enables your customers to instantly use local printers while accessing your services—without the need to download or configure drivers.

Single-Pane-of-Glass Management

Free up time and cut costs by centrally managing administrative tasks—such as deploying servers, publishing applications, monitoring resources and providing helpdesk assistance—from a single pane of glass with the Parallels RAS Console.

High Availability Load Balancer (HALB)

Diminish the probability of your customers experiencing downtime by leveraging HALB, a component that provides load balancing for Parallels RAS Secure Client Gateways by distributing the traffic among the gateways.

Legacy Application Support and Containerization

Manage and deliver legacy and newer applications simultaneously by leveraging the support capabilities of Windows Server OS (2008/R2, 2012/R2, 2016 and 2019). Parallels RAS offers multiple OS support in the same environment. In addition, containerization technologies Microsoft App-V and are supported within the Parallels RAS environment to mitigate application conflicts and compatibility issues.

SPLA and Sublicenses

Parallels RAS allows SPs to have an overview of their customers' usage via a Service Provider Licensing Agreement (SPLA) that is licensed per peak number of concurrent users over a billing period. This information is collected daily from each farm and calculates the licensing cost at the end of a billing cycle.

Parallels RAS also supports SPLA sublicensing. By leveraging Parallels My Account, you can manage multiple farms while retaining centralized billing. Create different sublicense keys for each customer to monitor and control customer consumption.
