Parallels® Remote Application Server (RAS) enables web access to applications, data, and desktops from any HTML5 browser, on a desktop or mobile device, anywhere—without needing to install a client. The Parallels HTML5 Client Portal can also be used as a portal to launch applications using a platform-specific Parallels Client, with the ability to detect the Client and install it if required.
Access Windows Desktops and Applications in Any HTML5 Browser
Run Windows desktops and applications from anywhere using the Parallels® HTML5 RDP Client. Enable fast access to virtual workspaces without complex installation or manual setup.
Parallels RAS provides drag and drop functionality. Local files can be dragged and dropped to published resources opened in HTML5. Additionally, files may be transferred to a remote location by leveraging file transfer capabilities. It's possible to upload and download files from local devices to remote locations and vice versa. This can be controlled via centralized settings depending on organizational security. Moreover, with bidirectional audio, IT administrators can enable the sound input and output redirection from the local device to remote applications. Microphone redirection allows the endpoint microphone to be used in the remote resource.
With white-labeling, personalization is straightforward. Customize the HTML5 Client with a corporate color scheme and logo and enable corporate branding on all HTML5 browsers. Different themes can be configured for individual users and groups within the active directory to reflect different departments within companies.
The Parallels HTML5 Client enables employees to immediately use any printer connected to the local machine. With Parallels RAS, printer redirection is quick and easy—there is no need to install local drivers due to the use of Parallels RAS Universal Printing capabilities.
The Parallels HTML5 Client is available in 12 different languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Japanese, German, Dutch, Korean, Chinese Traditional, and Chinese Simplified.
Decrease login times and enable users to quickly access apps and resources. With automatic login, the end-user does not have to re-input credentials as soon as the Parallels HTML5 Client Portal is opened.
End-users may be asked to enable auto-login which can later be managed from the HTML5 Client settings or centrally controlled by administrators from Parallels RAS policies.
By being able to access virtual desktops and applications on any HTML5 browser, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), Choose Your Own Device (CYOD), and other remote working initiatives can be implemented quickly without any footprint on the device. Keep users' productivity high by providing the same workspace experience no matter the device they use.
