Parallels® RAS 19, the latest iteration of this Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solution, has been shortlisted in the 2022–2023 Cloud Awards program in the Best Hybrid Cloud Solution category.

Why is Parallels RAS included on the Cloud Awards short list?

It gives customers the ability to access their legacy software as well as deploy new modern applications with ease.

- Auto-scaling and auto-provisioning: Automatically generate and deploy Remote Desktop Session Hosts (RDSHs) and VDI desktops based on real user workloads. This allows administrators to create and deploy guest virtual machines (VMs) on the fly, saving a great deal of time. Administrators only need to create a virtual desktop once—then it can be replicated as many times as needed.
- Power management: Helps IT administrators create a time-based schedule to power on or off existing VMs used as session hosts running on any Parallels- supported VDI provider. This helps reduce costs without affecting user experience.
- No vendor lock in: Parallels RAS provides various integrations with on- premises, HCI, and cloud providers (platforms and services).
- Flexible deployment scenarios: Enabled by license portability, there’s no extra associated with hybrid, on-premises, cloud, or multi-cloud, irrespective of where it’s deployed.
- Streamlined hardware footprint: A relatively small hardware footprint is all that is required when using Parallels RAS Templates and the integration with MSIX app attach automated image optimization to increase user density on servers., This reduces the hardware footprint for a more cost effective and scalable solution.
- Device-agnostic access: Any device can be utilized with Parallels Clients for any platform (Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android, iOS/iPadOS). There’s also a built-in web client where users can simply use a browser to access their resources.
