Parallels RAS and Parallels Desktop for Mac Recognized for Fastest Implementation
Parallels products received recognition as a product that enhances capabilities for small businesses. Parallels RAS and Parallels Desktop for Mac appear in the following specific grids:
G2 Grid® for Implementation. Both products received this badge.
For a category to be data-ready for a Grid Report, it requires the following:
- Six or more products with 10 or more reviews in the category.
- 150 or more reviews in the category overall.
- All key players in that category were included.
G2 Grid® for Remote Desktop Leader. Parallels Desktop for Mac was awarded this badge. The same metrics used for Implementation apply to this grid.
G2 Grid® for Remote Desktop (Small Business) Leader. Parallels Desktop for Mac was also awarded this badge. Products shown on the Small-Business Grid® for Remote Desktop have received a minimum of 10 reviews/ratings in any subcategory of Graphic Design. Products are ranked by customer satisfaction (based on user reviews) and market presence (based on market share, seller size, and social impact) and placed into four categories on the G2 Grid®.

On the G2 website, reviewer Simon M. describes Parallels Desktop for Mac as an “ideal solution for running Windows on Mac,” while an administrator in information technology and services writes that Parallels RAS is “extremely easy to get up and running quickly and has a very nice interface.”
For inclusion in these reports, a product must have a series of positive reviews on the G2 website. As of this writing, Parallels RAS has 66 reviews and a ranking of 4.2 out of 5 stars and Parallels Desktop for Mac has 44 reviews and a ranking of 4.4 out of 5 stars.
G2 Grids and Report Methodology
The G2 Grids measure customer satisfaction and market presence with ratings generated from user-supplied product reviews and market presence data. This data is used to plot the featured products on a quadrant with four sections: Leaders, High Performers, Contenders, and Niche.
To create their grids, G2 applies a unique algorithm to the data to generate a numerical score for customer satisfaction and market presence on a scale from 0 to 100.
According to the G2 Research Scoring Methodologies page, “Each input is normalized by category and segment. This means that scores are relative to other products in the category/segment and may change from segment to segment.”
